At myjobscotland, we are proud to be the national recruitment job site for Scotland’s public, third and education sectors. Our mission has always been to provide a high-quality, cost-effective platform that connects the best talent with the organisations that keep Scotland running.

To ensure we can continue to innovate and provide a first-class service for both recruiters and candidates, we are announcing some upcoming changes to our pricing and payment systems.

A Decade of Price Stability

For over the last 10 years we have maintained the same pricing for our job advert credits, absorbing rising operational and technology costs to support our partners. However, to keep pace with the evolving digital landscape and to continue improving our platform's features, we will be applying a 10% increase to advert credits starting from 7th April 2026.

This adjustment will allow us to reinvest in the platform, ensuring advertising with myjobscotland remains competitively priced compared to generalist recruitment sites and the most effective way to reach jobseekers across Scotland.

What Does This Mean for You?

The new pricing will take effect for all purchases made on or after April 7th, 2026. You can view our current pricing structure, exclusive of VAT below;

If you have recruitment needs planned for later in 2026, you can still purchase tokens at the current rates before the increase takes effect. Any tokens purchased in bulk prior to 1st April 2026 will not be affected by the price rise and will remain valid for use with no expiry date.

Modernising the Way You Pay

Alongside the pricing update, we are excited to announce a enhancement to our user experience. In April 2026, we will be migrating to a new, streamlined payment platform, govpay.

This new system is designed to make managing your recruitment easier and more efficient. For the first time, advertisers will be able to:

  • Purchase bulk token packages directly online without the need for manual invoicing (though this method will still be supported for those who need them).

  • Manage and purchase advert extensions online, giving you more control over your live vacancies with just a few clicks.

These changes represent a significant investment in the future of myjobscotland. By updating our infrastructure and adjusting our pricing, we are ensuring that we can continue to provide a sustainable, high-performing service that helps Scotland’s communities thrive.

We value your continued partnership and look forward to supporting your recruitment throughout 2026 and beyond.

If you have any questions regarding these changes or would like to discuss a bulk purchase before April 2026, please contact our support team at advertising@cosla.gov.uk
